The Maryland Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced that it will hold an open house to discuss the future planning of “Wolf Den Run,” Maryland’s newest state park, which will be located in Garrett County. DNR states that trail-based recreation will be a primary activity for the Park, as the area has had a history as a destination for OHV use.
Date and Location
October 20th, 2018, 3 to 5 p.m.
Kitzmiller Elementary School, 288 W. Main Street, Kitzmiller MD 21538
This fall marks the beginning of the development of Wolf Den Run’s Strategic Management Plan, which includes this open house. We encourage OHV enthusiasts to take part in the open house and fill out the OHV Users Survey to provide DNR with useful feedback, including the types of vehicles you use, what type of terrain you prefer, and what types of features you seek in a trail system.
DNR staff will be available at the open house to answer questions regarding the property and there will be stations to provide feedback. The open house will conclude with a roundtable discussion. A second open house will be scheduled at a later date.
