The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Hassayampa Field Office has issued a press release announcing that it will hold two public meetings to gather input on the draft Black Canyon Corridor Travel Management Plan. The plan encompasses Black Canyon City, Mayer, New River and Dewey-Humboldt in Yavapai and Maricopa counties.

Under the Proposed Action, approximately 211.6 miles (42%) of the travel network would be designated as “open,” 186.4 miles (29%) would be designated as “limited” and 107.5 miles (21%) would be designated as “closed.” These designations apply to the BLM portions of travel routes only and do not affect the status of routes on non-BLM lands.
