The Eldorado National Forest has published a notice that it will be holding a public meeting in early February relating to submitting applications for OHV Cooperative Funds for the upcoming 2017/2018 grant cycle. The Forest is developing applications to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division which includes: “a strong emphasis on trail maintenance and repair, law enforcement across the four Ranger Districts, printing and distribution of the Motor Vehicle Use Maps, restoration of impacted areas, planning, and education.”

The Forest states that previously awarded grants have helped address trail repair, additional law enforcement and other planning and development, among other OHV trail needs.

Preliminary grant applications will be available on the OHMVR website from March 6, 2018 – April 2, 2018 for review and comment.
